Were those taken at Miami metrozoo? I was there last summer prior to the Daytona extraveganza, and saw those three varanids. What really reminded me, was the outdoor croc enclosure, and the underwater viewing area of the salvator exhibit... Their komodo, most likely a flores decendent was a beauty, and a big'un... Thanks for sharing jody, let me know if I'm right...cheers,

gorgeous, thanks jody.
florida reptile park?
that is the best large water i have seen. i went to see chris c.'s waters a couple years ago but only got to see the male, the females were nesting at the same time. it was pretty impressive though and that at only 5 feet.

Well i forgot my tape measure so I can only guess LOL
I'd say it is 6-7 foot. Looked to be the size of my adults.
how big is that Croc monitor?? i know there is no size ref. but it looks as big as an Alligator in the pics! that thing is huge, i am in awe right now.
I'd say between 7-8 foot it is just a bit smaller then the male I had. He was 8 foot 4 inches a very big boy.
