Henkeli leaf tail not looking so good.

I have recently noticed that my henk has not been feeding for the last 4 days and is looking restless.Also he has lost a bit of wieght.He has also started opening his mouth and leaving it agape for prolonged periods of time.Does anyone know what might be doing this?Please help.

Well . . . is it hydrated enough? Maybe something is blocked forcing it to breathe through its mouth, or worse, infection/rot. Only speculation. You might want to take it to a vet who has experience in exotics, favorably tropical geckos.

I just read something about this - maybe it's metabolic bone disease or hyperparathyroidism - both can be a result of nutritional problems, though that shouldn't be a problem if you gutload and dust prey before feeding.

I'm not all that knowledgable about this genus, but I know that other reptiles open their mouths in order to regulate their body temp. It could have something to do with that.....
