What do these terms mean?
'chondro'
Another name for a green tree python is 'chondro' python and that is shortened simply to 'chondro' by a lot of people.

'wamena'
Wamena is a town in Irian Jaya that is situated in the Baliem Valley. The chondros that are from that area have a specific look to them, dark green, nice blue highlights, and some white flecking. So the term Wamena refers to a locality of chondro python.

'mite phase'
Mite phase is a certain look a chondro has when black flecking appear in the pattern of the snake. Some look like they have 'mites' crawling all over them hence the term 'mite phase'.

'I am looking to buy some Etb's soon. What should i look for?'

You should find good reputable breeders like Tony Nicoli, Buddy Goetzger, Karen and Craig Clark, Ed Marino, Dave Torro, or any other breeder that has a good history of producing solid animals.

'I am looking to spend 800. I want to get quality snakes to breed later down the road. What should I look for?'

Talk to any of the breeders above and they will help you in making the right decision in the future.

'what patterns are in the most demand? Thanks.'

Anything captive bred and born is usually in high demand but talking to the breeders will help you a bit more.

Make sure to be very careful of who you deal with because there are people out there that will rip you off and not have a second thought about it. The people on the list I gave you are some of the best and all are very trustworthy! I would start there and ask around before you deal with anybody else. Good Luck!

As stated in the other post, the term's Chondro/wamena/mite phase all pertain to the Green Tree Python,Emerald Tree Boa's as far as pattern's go are generally in the form of small diamond's or triangle's running down the spine, check the pic's out below, and check the pic.'s out for the patternless ETB's below, you should be able to find a C.B.B. pair of ETB'neonate's for around 800.00,sound's like you need to study both species and do your homework on ETB's,before your purchase. Good Luck !
