2004 female Spartanburg Co., S.C locale Eastern King

Keith Hillson Aug 03, 2004 06:47 PM

I just got her from my buddy Howie Sherman of Strikers Herps. She is onlyu a couple of weeks old and is a F1 from some extremely yellow parents. She is a very light yellow so her yellow may or may not come in but my guess is it will with age. I sold off a clutch of Greenville Co., SC Easterns (next County over)in 2002 and they were bone white as hathlings and its filtering back to me to me they are turning yellow ! The parents on the Greenville's had super yellow crossbars as well. I knew I should not have sold them all !

I was in Spartanburg Co a couple of weeks ago and thought I had come across my first Eastern crossing a road. I thought it had been run over but it was just suning itself. Turned out to be a black ratsnake that had just eaten a huge meal. I was kind of disappointed that it wasn't an Eastern but at least I kept it from being run over.
