Hi everyone. I've been wanting to post on a question I had, but wanted to make sure I wasn't going out of my mind before doing so. I have a sweet female columbian from an early 2002 Bob Clark litter. I have noticed that after each shed, she is increasingly pink (which is gorgeous, no less). Along with her pink, she has an orange belly. After her last shed, I let her out to roam around on my bed while I did some homework. (She insisted on operating the calculator for me). During her roaming, I guess her scales caught the light just peeeeerrrrfect because I swore I saw blue on her. I jumped off of the bed and knelt closer to her (with her staring at me like, "WHAT?!"
and sure enough, she's got blue stripes along her face and neck (a soft blue, like watercolor on scales, hehe). Now, it's ritualistic. Her blue stripes increase in intensity before a shed (her pink diminishes) and after she has shed, her blue is soft again and her pink is bright. I was wondering if anyone has seen this in other boas (is this a common thing?) All of the Boas I have been around have not shown alot of blue (more grey)...just curious.
Thanks,
Sami
