shedding Help

tegu21 Aug 03, 2004 09:20 PM

Hi I need some help with my blood python because he has had a shedding color for a week and then now he only has a piece of his skin off not the normal one piece so what do you suggest me to do? I am new to snakes but have a few solid years with monitors.

He's probably having trouble shedding because of humidity.. at this point its best to soak him. Just get a rubbermaid container and fill with lukewarm water and leave him in there for awile.. make sure he can breath and everything tho. Your humidity is probably too low to begin with.. but next time he sheds it might be wise to throw in a wet towel when hes about to shed which will give added humity for the shed and also give him something to help him shed with.
