Chameleons can eat June Bugs. One of my female Veileds loves them. I'm sorry I don't know what June Bugs eat. Its possible they don't eat anything. I think they probably live most of their lives as some sort of worm, then they turn into larva and finally a June Bug. As a June Bug, they may only live for a few days, just long enough to mate, lay their eggs and die.

They eat tree leaves. The adults hide in the soil by day and feed at night. You can often hear them crashing and buzzing into your screens at night as they are attracted to the light. They spend about 3 years underground as grubs. Depending on species the adult witll live a couple days or a couple weeks.

As for feeding I don't see why not just watch for the spines on their legs which may catch on the cham's mouth.
