Please post pics of your Hypo Corns

MissMiniZoo Aug 04, 2004 12:13 AM

Can all your keepers of Hypos post pics of them?? I'm curious to see how different they are in color intensity. I'm curious to know what my baby will look like as an adult...here is a pic of him at 2 months...

How do you tell the difference between a Hypo and a sunglow? My snakes colors seem like they will be pretty intense.

A sunglow is a type of amel (with red pupils).

Here's all the photos I have of my hypo (at least the one's I have uploaded to the web):

Beautiful snake! Thanks for answering my question about the Sunglows. Right after I posted this topic, I was looking at some pics a little closer and realized the eye color difference!

Well, my girl Yin isn't an adult yet, she's two years old, but I'd dare say this is the color she'll stay.

Here's a shot from above:

And here's one from below:

I had always considered her a hypoish normal due to the black checkers on her belly, but not long back I posted a picture of her here and was told she is indeed a hypo. I simply wasn't taking into account the variability of the hypo gene and wasn't allowing for black anywhere...not even the belly checkers.

This is her brother Yang for comparison...taken without a flash:

Just for kicks....this is my Lava Hypo male....He is just a little 03, but his color is amazing.

Wow! You have some really pretty snakes! I LOVE the lava male. Okay, so can hypos have just a bit of black within their pattern??

As far as them having black, I have seen some that do. Actually it looks more like a brown to me. If you look at my pair of hypos in person, theirs is kind of a chocolate brown color. BTW, you have a very pretty snake there. Welcome to the addiction know as "cornsnakes"

Hi Hoppy,
I asked this question above in another post. What is the difference between a no-white hypo and a no-white amel? Are they both sunglows? Amanda posted above that a sunglow is a type of amel, with red pupils. Do you know if the red pupil always distinguishes the "sunglow hypo" from the "sunglow amel"
thanks!
