I have seen them advertised as low as 60 to 70 bucks. But please be aware that Columbian B&W are also very cheap to get make sure you know you are getting an Argentine. Also please be aware that cheaper is not always better. I would hate to see you get a sick animal or one that is not healthy and dies.
I really believe you get what you pay for. I am not saying that saving a few bucks is not bad just know that a good reputable breeder often sells thiers for around 100.00 You can go to www.agamainternational.com and look at thiers or to www.bluetegu.com and look at thiers. Both places have helped me out with questions even though I did not get any of my tegus from them. Just some thoughts. Also know that buying the tegu is by far the cheapest part of taking care of them. Do you have a cage big enough, heat and humidity correct. Just some more thoughts. Good luck

I thank you for your help, but i just have to say that i keep alot of monitor, and have kept tegus before, and the only reason I trying to go cheap is my house burnt down and i have little money(even at a cheap price i wouldent get a sick tegu)
so thanks again
I am sorry if I offended you with the way my post was worded. You never really know to whom you are talking when you do not recognize the login name. I am sorry to hear about your house. I know you are going to the show I hope you find one. If you do not may I suggest going to www.agamainternational.com They have some cb babies from wild cought parents I believe and they are cheaper since they did not have to raise them to breed. It is just a thought if you are unable to find one at the show. And they are also a very reputable breeder so you would know you are getting a very healthy animal. I will also keep my ears open to any that are up for adoption then it would just be a shipping fee. That is how I got two of my four one I purchased the other was a rescue. Again I am very sorry if I offended you. That was not my intent.

and if you bought it from a middle man...what bloodline is it? It has more white on the head and neck than most. It is also funny that many blues have more white than even White-headed B/W.
I too am searching for a fine example of a "Chacoan", I hope to get it in a couple weeks as I have an order with bluetegu.com for their pick of the litter of White-heads.

I am not sure what her blood lines are. My wife was at our friends rep shop and this guy walked in with her. Said he could not keep her any longer set her down and walked away. Our friends already have thier hands full with all thier reptiles so my wife being the wonderful woman she is picked her up for me for my birthday. She was free my wife just said sure. I have not seen her yet since I am still here. I am looking forward to getting home so I can see her. My wife says she is a real sweety. Good luch finding one with a lot of white. My blue has a ton of white also. If my red did manage to breed her it would be intersting to see what the offspring would look like.

I got my agrentine B&W at an expo for 80 bucks. He was in exceptional condition and has nearly doubled in size since (going on a few months). Occasionally you'll find good bargains at expo's but don't go looking for cheap. If a bargain comes your way by all means take it but use common sense.
