Does anyone know where to buy "scent" for food? Or have a link to a web site that sells any?
Thanks

I don't know of any pre-made "scent," however, if a snake owner could buy a bottle of something, put a drop on a pinky and have universal success with newborns, it would be a hit for sure.
I mentioned in a previous post that chicken scent works the best for me. Since I frequently have day old chicks in my freezer, I cut off a leg midway up at the ankle with scissors, and squeeze the blood and liquid onto a pinkie or fuzzy. I feed my adult easterns chicken necks frequently. One of my adults refuses rats, but will eat them voraciously if I roll the f/t rat in the juice from thawed chicken necks. I would try store bought chicken first, especially if you can't get chicks easily. Just smear the juice from thawed chicken meat on the pinkie.
I recall another forum contributor suggesting baby quail as something to try. I haven't tried this but this is in line with my indications that indigos prefer the scent of poultry over all others.
To try fish you can use grocery store fish. Or, go to a pet store and buy a feeder goldfish for 20 cents. Cut it in half and use the blood/liquid on pinkies. I have even heard of one person using Mrs Paul's Frozen Fish Sticks as a source of scent.
Robert.
