If you want to have two carpets, make room and the funds available to house them seperately. There is no reason to house an JCP and a IJP together especially if they are opposite sexes.

is this your preference darci? it sounds like it could make a cool looking cross actually (no i am not saying this guy is going to breed them, he may not be there yet). remember they are all in the box.

Snakes are solitary animals they only come together for one reason BREEDING! If you are not breeding do not house them together. If they are babies it will be OK to house them together for a VERY SHORT amount of time until you get money to buy a new cage.

and please don't press your ancient views about snake husbandry on me.

i do keep snakes separate only because of the dangers of feeding. but for no other reason. other than that my snake husbandry is much different than a lot of other peoples. but we will see what happens.

some professor from uc santa barbara just called me a bad keeper for doing this too: but hey i am the keeper, not him. he said, hey those are not social animals. they live along ways away. and the fact that monitors in captivity multiclutch is bad. (and this pair does).

it would really be good of you to maybe just ask first instead of assume if i have any idea of what i am talking about.
