New pic of my 0.1 Green!

Ben_renick Aug 04, 2004 11:07 AM

I just wanted to post a new pic I just took of my girl.. Shes very fat and girthy... But I also had a question, if you look at her head size compared to her body size, her head seems a little small and there isn't a whole lot of shape to it, I mean there is shape, but like, I dont know, maybe she just has a big neck.

` Anacondas have necks like some ( American )football players. Since they have such large necks, the large muscles behind the skull don't stand out as much as they do on other Boids.
` Some of mine have a habit of reaching out and hooking my arm or neck, with their neck, to get on me. When they do that, you can really feel just how powerful that neck is.
` I remember Renee Owens ( redhed ) saying that in South America, when capturing Anacondas, they called that first neck loop " The Evil Loop", or something to that effect.
` If you can grasp yours behind the head, you'll feel the change from the big jaw muscles, to the neck muscles. Be gentle, and careful, some snakes really resent being held like that.
` That's a good looking baby.
` By the way, I haven't noticed it bothering any of my Boids when I use the flash on them to bring out their colors.

She looks to be in very good condition. The large girth in comparison to their length always tends to make their heads look small.
