I figure the frogs provide enough organic fertilizer for my tank. I'd be afraid to add anything that might do harm. Tank size is 48" wide X 36" high X 18" deep and the plants do fine.

What kind of lighting are you using in that tall of a tank, I am also looking for cheap ways to add extra light so that i can keep some orchids and make my broms brighter.

Dyna gro is from what black jungle says is all natural and chemical free there for not harmful to darts. i have used it but my plants don't really need it.

Try using compact florescents. They can give off o lot of light and little heat, and they screw into a normal light hood. Good luck!
