leo gecko v. lethargic after car trip..not eating

saiya00 Jun 23, 2003 01:04 PM

I HAD to bring my gecko Moose with me down to Kansas, and it was a 6 hour car trip. The temperature was ok the whole time, and she was in a mini-carrier cage, so that wasn't the problem... but when I got her here and got the cage set up, etc, then she was acting very lethargic, she's moving around more today, but she won't eat, and I'm very worried about her. Any advice?

She's probably just really stressed out (she just sat still for 6 hours but still felt like she was moving...creepy!). Just let her be, don't keep hanging around the tank or offering her food. Make sure the tank is in a quiet room, put some mealies in a dish and let her settle in. She will be fine.
