Or my ADD or what, but is this one of the most vague petitions? I wasn't sure if it was for or against. I emailed Pataki.

I did NOT sign it because it looked like it was in favor of the ban against reptiles. The # of signers also was bothering me. This would be easy to sign for me and many others if it read "veto ban against reptiles."

We dont want this law to take effect. Go to the petition and read all of what people wrote.

I called assemblyman Tonko's office today and was told that accompanying legislation to this bill had been introduced. Instead of the entire boidae family, it will only include the largest members. it is a step in the right direction, but we must continue to make our voices heard. Follow the link to see the new bill. http://assembly.state.ny.us/leg/?bn=A11753&sh=t

I've been out of the country for a while on research, so thanks for posting this and allowing me to learn of it. I no longer reside in NY, but may again at some point in the future, so I will gladly do my part. I intend to try and contact some fellow herp keepers in my area of florida and get there names on the list too as well as other friends and family.
