Veiled chameleon eggs

chad98 Aug 04, 2004 06:24 PM

I found one egg at the bottom of my female's cage. Im not sure if it came out with her poo or what. Anyeays, She has layed four batches of eggs and this has never happened. She usually spends a lot of time at the bottom of her cage when she is ready to lay and she hasnt. So does anyone know what might have happened? Could she be egg bound? I put some soil in her cage so maybe she will nest now but I dont know for sure how long the egg was there. I cleaned her cage on sunday so it couldnt have been there longer than a day or 2. Thanks

Its not unusual for a Cham to poop out one or more Eggs. They seem to be able to tell which eggs are viable. She probably still has a clutch of good eggs.
