What to do with these eggs? >>>>

Cleopatra Jun 23, 2003 01:27 PM

Earlier I posted about two eggs with abnormally soft shells but nice white coloration. These have been in the incubator a few days and still have not hardened. I have four other fertile eggs cooking and I really don't want to jeopardize those babies with these eggs that look like their not going to make it. Should I just dispose of them now before they die or start to mold?
I also am worried that they will hatch out deformed babies and I just don't want them to have a bad quality of life.

Are the eggs fertile, or can u tell. Hmm, have you had eggs like this before? Usually they will end up molding, but it depends on what you think the outcome shall be.

But they are quite small and soft which makes me think they will not make it. These were Beanie's fifth and *hopefully* last clutch which may be a factor. This year has been my first year breeding and I have only seen big, healthy eggs up till this point.

I've read on this forum many times to just incubate them anyway. If they're infertle, they will shrivel up anyway. If there firtle, you may have one or two great looking babies!! You never know.

I would put them into a seperate deli cup and incubate anyway.
