Northwestern Louisiana question

reptle2 Aug 05, 2004 11:11 AM

I have just moved down here to NW La. I was woundering if anyone could help me out with finding a goo place to find any rattlesnakes localy. I have talked to a lot of people around here and most tell me they havent seen any rattlers in years. I called up the state Game and Fish, they told me there was still a healthy population around, but dispite all this I have been totaly unlucky if finding any rattlers.Since i have moved into town i am now known as "the crazy snake man" because of my eforts to inform people of conservation of the local herp populations. I realy need some help here. there is no local herp society or organition for me to get moral support. I am currently trying to fix this last proble by starting a herp society but this is going to be a long hard process. I currently only have 1 person even interested in helping. He was the tresurer of the last society and is the manager of a Petco in Shreveport. If anyone can help me in any way please let me know. Thank you all for takeing the time to read this.
