Just got my first Dragon!!!!!!

Gpoop Aug 05, 2004 12:15 PM

He's alot smaller then expected but i'm sure he'll grow. Every time I go check on him he's in a diffrent spot but doesn't like to move in front of me. Should I be checking on him or just leave him be? Also when can I handle him, should I wait a week or more? thanks.

Congrats!
i've had my beardie for a few months now...and i would recommend holding him every day. the faster they get used to you, the better! they'll even eat from your hand..

Actually, I would recommend not holding it for the first few days. Allow it to get acclimated and comfortable in it's surroundings, especially since it's so young and sensitive to stress right now. It's ok to check on him when you want, after about a few days to week or so you'll notice him getting more relaxed and then you can start handling him on a daily basis.
