My first own bred Pewter.. Unfortunatly after 10 weeks this stubborn corn has no interest in what ever food I offer.

With out flash.. Good colors huh?

If only you would know how much I want her to feed..

My Amel Bloodred Motley hets..

Idem

The strange Bloodred that hatched without color.

As it turns out she will be a normal Bloodred. Bummer..

Just for reference.. this is how she looked after her first shed:

Marcel,

Can you not get anoles there in Holland? I know they're expensive, but although pewters are notoriously hard to start on mice, I have only seen a small percentage of them that I couldn't get to take an anole.

You may very well have tried the anoles, or you may not be able to get them at all over there. I just thought I'd bring it to your attention if you hadn't considered it before. Pewters are just wierd about anoles in a LOT of cases!

Let us know how she does for you --

Marcel...I am sure they would have tuna in water over there..thaw the pinkie out or throw a live pinkie in the water..the smellier the better and try it once. I got a white sided rat to eat that way. Several people I have told this to have found it successful. It only cost the price of a can of tuna in water. Save the water in the refer for future use.
They seem to really like that smell.
Good Luck

Thanks Darin,

In fact I haven't thought about that at all. I will place an add for anoles tonight. Thanks.

Some one has a fresh hamster pinky for me in his freezer. I will pick it up next week. I really really hope that will do the trick.

I got a baby that wasn't feeding and he showed no interest in it. He looked downright afraid of the pinkies I had offered. I tried live, prekilled, brained, everything I could think of. I was going to try anoles, but someone recommended to me that I try "Mouse Maker" - it is bottled mouse scent made to attract snakes. The thought was that it would be better to get the little guy eating pinkies than start with anoles and have to switch him later. I put him in a container with a f/t pinky with a couple of drops of moouse maker last night and a couple of hours later the pinky was gone. Big releif - I'm new to this, so he was my first non-feeder and I was really starting to get worried.
