Has anybody heard of any internal parasites from monitors that are transferrable to humans?

there are several organims that can transfer from reptiles to humans. Just search the net using words like: zoonosis or zoonoses and reptiles. You'll get lots of sites. Google gave me over 2000 sites, should be enough info in there among the crappy sites.

Cryptosporidia, Tapeworms, and roundworms come to mind off the top of my head. There are of course many others I have kept reptiles for many years, Many of them wild-caught many of which I personally picked out from importers. I am not completely careless about zoonotics yet I am far from a compulsive clean freak either. I have never been deparasitized and yet I am still alive and rarely get sick (maybe the parasites kill the germs.) Parasites don,t scare me what really scares me are those Automobiles those things will kill you. I should know I've been hit twice (only once my fault) and had '79 chevy caprice (about 3100lbs) roll of some blocks on top of me. Way more dangerous than parasites or monitors.
