yes a dragon can live on pellets and good dark leafy greens, veggies and supplements (calcium w/D3 and a good multivitamin) alone. I suggest you look for a breeder that uses pellets so that the transition will be easier for you, talk to them and find out. There are many breeders online that are really great,

here is a basic caresheet also

you can find tons of caresheets by going to www.google.com and typing in bearded dragon caresheet in the search
dragons are quite the commitment. I suggest that you read up a lot on them before making your purchase, being properly prepared is the best thing you can do to help your dragon off to a healthy start.
if you have any specific questions just ask, im sure people here would be happy to answer them for you =]

Yup. They can do quite well. My own beardies are being raised on pellets. I got mine both from Dachiu, and my friend's is from them as well. I would recommend that you start out buying an order of crickets, and by the time they are gone, your beardie is eating pellets. I hand fed pellets and also used a method of training them to eat the crickets from the dish before they jumped out, then adding more pellets and less crickets. They will miss and start eating pellets, or pick one up with a cricket. This also seems to teach them that whatever is put in the dish is food. Pretty much anything I put in the dish the beardies come running to eat, even when they've never had it before. Good luck and I hope that helps.
There are other insects that can be used to feed dragons instead of crickets. Several different kinds of roaches and silkworms. I haven't had any success with getting my dragon to eat pellets, he completely ignores them, going as far as refusing to eat his greens if the pellets are mixed up with them, or eats around the pellets if i just put then on one side of his greens. The crickets eat them though LOL.
