rawsunset Aug 06, 2004 03:25 PM

Hi everyone, I'm new here.
Just wondering if anyone knows of where I might find the dekay's/brown snake or red-bellied snake ....other than going out and looking for them outside? Anyone willing to give out one or two that they have?? Thanks!

No one is really allowed to answer those questions. You can find any of those snakes in a area loaded with slugs, they are often found very close to people.

I haven't seen any red-bellies, but here in mid-missouri the DeKay's are pretty common. The last time I mowed, I found one, possibly two. I'm not sure about one, since the front half of it's body was marked a with bars, almost like a hatchling of some larger colubrid.
