WC Box Turtle Laid 2 Eggs

mikebrown18 Aug 06, 2004 05:43 PM

Im not sure if they are fertile, but she laid two eggs. They both were laid last night and have a small indent on one side. is this normal or are they infertile?

I have found that a slight indent does not necessarily mean they are infertile. Put them in moist vermiculite, keep them at a fairly steady temperature in the 75 to 85 degree range, try to maintain humidity at around 80-90% and check them regularly.
Do Not roll them or disturb them (this could seriously damage anything developing).
With any luck, in about 60 days or so, you'll have yourself baby turtles.
