Is anyone planning to go to the All Ohio show in Columbus? I am going and it is my first show.

I go every month. There's lots of good stuff but some shady stuff (specifically people trying to pass things off as captive bred when it's obvious they aren't). If you tell me what you're looking for, I might be able to point you to a good person to get it from. It's a lot of fun, anyway, if maybe a little too crowded, and I like the food.

Hi there:

I am looking for a baby yellow rat snake. Let me guess..

Do you go to look for rosy, rubber and sand boas? I kept one rosy, and currently have a Kenyan sand boa. I see you on that forum a lot, and was wondering if you are a herpetologist, because you seem extremely knowledgeable about the subject. I DON'T want to get a black rat snake, because in Southeastern Pennsylvania I caught and released a 5 1/2 foot one, and it was REALLY beautiful in its natural environment, and I couldn'y bare to buy one.
I know that "captive-bred" black rat snakes often appear at this show. A baby Oak grey rat snake may work, but I am really leaning towards a yellow.

I'm a 23 year old temporary data entry clerk with no degree... but thanks for the compliment... (I'm going to school, but not for reptology*)
You'll probably be able to find yellow and grey rats at the show. However, Mike Joliff almost always has some awesome black rat morphs. You won't find normal black rats because of the Ohio laws.
I actually go looking for Eurasian ratsnakes and geckos... 'cause most of my sand boa hookups are non-local. However, Scott Stark, Hale, and Reptile Addicts all have very nice sand boas.
