Hardwicki-

artgeckko Jun 23, 2003 04:26 PM

Just received a new CB baby Indian Uromastyx.
Looking for any insight from anybody who keeps these species. It's a beautiful little guy - good weight, alert, seems very tame...strange as that may be.
Got him from Reptile depot(in So Cal)
They have a huge amount of Ornate babies, some egyptian babies, and a whole lot of Nigerians.
They all look pretty good for the most part.

Thanks,
Ed

I keep an adult pair of Hardwicki. They are around 11-12" long and they are very slender compared to other species. Mine are completely tame and I have found that they show very little aggression. They even have a sub-adult Mali in with them and they show no aggression towards him, and he shows none to them. I am hoping to breed them later this year. Fingers crossed!

How big of an enclosure do you have them in?
Also do they eat crickets and mealworms?
Mine has an equal size ornate ( 6" ) in with him-he does not seem to like it.....I will separate soon...
Do you have any pictures?
