how long until the yolk sac is absorbed

also, what if one ruptures?

Normally the yolk is absorbed in 3 to 4 days depending on how large it is.

If it ruptures when it is large the chances or survival are not very good. As the yolk gets smaller the chances go up.

If the yolk does rupture allow it to drain and clean it as soon as possible. It can lead to a septic infection very quickly.
