I love Petstores......

bustyballpythons Aug 06, 2004 08:39 PM

Well the other day someone brought this ball to the local pet store...The said they found it outside of a bank on their way out...Well the pet store didn't want to keep her cuz of her size so we got her for FREE!!! She probed a she and I took her to the vet to have a fecal done (came back clean) and have her check out (clean bill of health)...My guess is that she was someone's pet and escaped...We get that alot down here in South Florida...No, she's not gravid, she just ate...She weighed in at 5.7 lbs. (sorry my gram scale only goes to 1500 grams)...Here's a pic of her next to a $20 bill for size reference...Can you believe that she was FREE!! No, I'm not selling her...Though the thought crossed my mind at first, but I have other plans for her...

I live near Philadephia, PA and I think my wonderful snake escaped and made her way down there. Please ship her back to me asap!

Great find there!

Thanks John! I too am a big fan of banded ball pythons (obviously). I like defined patterned ball pythons because no matter how their colors change/fade they always look great.

Your luck supasses mine. The 4 foot male BP I rescued out of the street here (Manatee County) spent 2 weeks in the vet's incubator, had surgury for a ripped tummy, and was treated for 3 different infections. The vet bill strapped me big time...even after the vet cut me some slack.

Nice find!
