Hello, I have been seeking advice on rack systems for my collection of Thamnophis and Lampropeltis zonatas. I am also thinking about putting together a small collection of Gophers like P d jani, P m deserticola etc. so I wanted to see what kind of advice I could on rack systems from this forum. I am currently using Iris tubs and boxes stacked about a heated room. This works well but it is unorganized and environmentally inefficient. I am considering either building or purchasing racks. What are the different thoughts on proper tub sizes for larger adult colubrids like Pines and Gophers? Pros and cons between Sterilite, Rubbermaid, and Iris? I like Iris but they are expensive from what I have heard about the others. They are also quite tall when purchased in the larger sizes. Are the cost differences between building and purchasing a rack worth the trouble for a mechanical klutz like myself? Any favorite designs or manufacturers? I'd like to get as much info from other peoples experiences as I can.

Thanks,
Randy
