after my veiled is done basking, he usually moves further down his vine (out of the direct heat) and lays down. Is this normal behavior? I think it is awfully cute

I can't quite picture this. Is he stretching out along a branch? If so it's probably just a quirk. If he is laying on the cage bottom he may be too hot. Is he a pale color when he does this?
