Can two dragons share a reptarium?

kephy Aug 06, 2004 11:00 PM

Ha! Now that I got your attention, NO, I don't mean at the same time!

What I mean is, I have two male dragons, and I'm wanting to get a Reptarium because I keep hearing they are great for letting beardies bask outside in the sun. I'm wondering if I just buy one, and the lizards don't have any parasites, can they take turns in it? I don't know if they can sense each other's presence or not, but my big male gets positively irate when he sees the younger one. So if he can tell that the other one has been there, I certainly don't want to stress him out. However if I do this in the near future I can really only afford one, so if I need to buy two it may have to wait longer.

Also, those things are all more tall than wide, but they can be laid down on their sides to get more ground space, right?

Thanks for any input.

Yeah, if you have had them for awhile and know that they are clean. My dragons always get too excited when outside to notice oother dragons at all. My males don't even beard when they see each other outside (they have seperate cages). They are much more worried about birds and cars and such.

those mesh cages are easy to clean out with hose and a sprayer. Get some nolvasan if you are worried and spend a secobd squirting it out between dragons.
