Now I'm thinking...I need help please.

I'm a newbi and judging by all pics I have been looking at in this form it appears that I am doing some things wrong. Starting with tank size, substrate, no moist hide...etc, etc.

So...any suggestions would do. I like the tile setups a lot. My concern is temp with tile. I have a exoterra heat wave UTH, Calci-sand substrate and my temps are good. 80 -85 on heated side and 72 -75 on cool side. My tank is a 10 gallon with one leo. I do want another and I would like to breed them as well (in the future). Can some one tell me how to make a moist hide and how to keep it humid? Do I just put it on the hot side of the tank?

Thanks in advance...I love leos and think that they are great pets. My kids have bad alergies and this is the only type of pet they can have. I figure breeding is a hobby that my son and I can do together.

Theres a later post that I and another suggested tile, you should read it, Ceramic tiles hold heat bette than sand.
Sand is just plain messy aside from the possible side effects, honestly i had my leo on sand for 3 years until i switched, much better.
As for humid hides, get a margerine container or any container and simply cut a hole in it, with daily moistened paper towel. Spray it daily to keep it moistened, yes you can put it on the hot side, personally i wouldn't like to sleep in a wet and cold hide.
Also 10 gallon tank for more than one leo is a bit cramped, but that's my personal opinion, but good luck in your breeding endeavors, leos are great pets

Thanks for all the suggestions. I will switch to tile and add a hot box. I'll let you know how it goes...
