hmm...I just heard some real bad reputation about my vet...

Well, I was looking at some past messages in a Hong Kong forum this afternoon (gecko forum ofcourse), and came to this long thread about a vet that 'killed' many small animals during or after his treatment, due to ignorance. They are now planning on reporting on him. However, it turns out that the vet they are talking about is exactly the same person that I'm going to take my baby to on Monday...I've had 7 geckos dewormed by him before, and they are all fine. What am I going to do? There is only ONE vet clinic in Hong Kong that will look at exotic animals; although there are other vets there, its hard to switch person for no reason, maybe that's only rumours that I heard.

I tried to change the appointment to tomorrow, since my vet is off tomorrow, but all the bookings are full
Now, I am really worried...

Anyone know where I can get Panacur online?

I've never actually purchased it direct, but I do know that this place sells it:
http://www.petcarerx.com/

http://www.1800petmeds.com/ph_results.asp?category=Choose a Category&searchstring=fenbendazole&weight=all&searchtype=itemname&sortmethod=&curpage=1&species=&Submit.x=0&Submit.y=0

If you plan to administer it yourself, you NEED a REALLY accurate scale to help get the dosages right (25-40 mg per KG - 25-40 mg of panacur for every kg the animal weighs).

I would NOT recommend treating your animals yourself... too much room for error.

All doctors make mistakes, after all they are only human.Maybe the owner of the animals that died while he was treating them didn't follow directions or there was a misunderstanding.Remember when a person has an animal die under vet care they usually blame the vet. After you get a diagnosis, ask the vet how many times he has treated geckos with the same problems and how they did,he should be willing to tell you abou his past history, good and bad. Also ask if he has a degree in repile medicine,if he does then most likely everything will be ok.
