Hopper mice...

03svtcobra Aug 07, 2004 09:49 AM

i just received my 3-4 month old brb.. i'm not sure how big a hopper mouse is, so if anyone can please post a pic of one? it would be really really helpful. i dont wanna feed him something to big.. b/c my pet store only has the option of a small medium or large mouse.

i'm going to feed him 3 fuzzies today, i read somewhere that 3 fuzzies equal a hopper mouse. but can someone please post a pic. i'd really appreciate it.

thank you
steve

Steve,
. I do not have a PIC of a hopper mouse available but if you click on the red Breeders/dealer/stores link above and go to the rodent suppliers you can probably find a PIC or a list of weights for various size mice. A hopper mouse is one that has matured beyond the crawler stage where they can only crawl to the stage where they can run around and they will often hop if you try to grab them. A 3-4 monbth old BRB CAN eat a large mouse but a medium mouse is a more appropriate size to feed it.

Jeff's suggestions are great. I would check out rodentpro. They have an easy visual and are advertised on KS.
