Sonya:

How many days do you leave your males in with the trio of females before rotating him to another trio?

Though I am not sonya, from what I have read about breeding rats, 10 days is a good length of time to keep the male in with the females, this way the females are in heat at least once. They come in heat once every 5 days and within 24 of given birth, if I recall correctly.

I have two males and six groups of girls and tend to move a boy every other week. But I don't need continuous litters. So, like LdyPayne said...10 days is good to cover two heats. That said, I have bred a single girl by literally leaving the pair together for an hour. I would think you would want to minimum go 5 days to overlap at least one heat.

Haven't we warned you about tampering with the structure of a chaotic system?
