Average lifespan

vjl4 Aug 07, 2004 10:47 AM

hello all,

I have not been able to find the average lifespan of ball pythons, I have seen that the record is 47 years, anybody know what the average is?. I've had my girl for 11 years now and am starting to get curious how much longer we have together, she was my first snake and I have many others, but I am still in love with ball pythons.

Thanks

Yours is just a youngster. I have one I purchased as a hatchling in June 1975. He's 29 and going strong.

A good friend of mine has a Ball that is 34 years old (he bought it in the spring of 1970 as a baby) & in perfect health.
