Help Me choose a lizard

LAF77 Aug 07, 2004 12:38 PM

Hello

I was looking to purchase an aussie water dragon but am worried that my work schedule would prevent me from caring for it properly. Lately, my work schedule is early in the morning until late at night. I could wake up early with the dragons and feed them before I leave but am worried that i come home too late to feed them again. I really want an aussie wd but would rather wait until my workload calms down before i get one; unless of course i could get away with it now. Can anyone recommend a lizard that is hardy, tame, handleable, and can live on a feeding a day or every other day?

Thanks

Only adult lizards could be fed every other day. And them being tame at an adult age without being handled by you is gonna be a bad thing. Also, if you can't handle them during the day, you wouldn't want to disturb them at night and mess up their daily cycle. MY suggestion is to go with a nocturnal animal such as a gecko (i.e. leopard gecko, African fat-tail gecko). I have both species and it's a nice break when it comes to dealing with all of my diurnal animals

R u sure u read the message? A BTS??? With a green anole????
I dont think so. The BTS would have the anoles for breakfast (or lunch, or dinner, take your pick) .

1 more thing. A 20 gallon aquarium/ terrarium will not suffice a mixed colony (to small!!!). Better keep thr FBT away. Could produce toxins wich would kill its cagemates.
Keep 1 species per cage and your better of.

What are you talking about??? It says nothing about an anole!!!
