sexing D. azureus

Hello again. I have a few question re: dart frog sexual differences and behaviour. I read that azures are among the easiest of frogs to sex.

I also read that males have slightly wider, frontal toepads than rear toepads, so it follows that also the male's front toepads are larger than the female's. Are there any other indicators?

At what age do these changes become obvious? Are there any size or growth rate differences in males vs females? When do the frogs normally begin vocalizing?

Sorry if this question has been asked many times before but searching the forum yielded too much irrelevant data.

I was told they are sexually mature after about a year - year and half old. The males will call it sounds like a soft buzz but is very hard to hear because its so soft. The toe pads are a good way to tell if its a male... males have big heart shaped toepads. Another way to tell although a bit tougher is the females tend to be on the heavy side.
