Well, ive had the dragons (2 adult females) in full brumation for about 1 1/2 weeks, whereas only the flourescent lights are on 6 hrs a day. The females are still sitting on their branches, with their eyes open, however not moving a lot. They have not gone into a full brumation. It looks like they are just waiting for the light to be turned back on. They have not lost weight, and i have not fed them. They drink occasionally and are getting moody, just like last year before brumation, but otherwise nothing. All signs show they should be going in, yet they arnt. Im thinking about taking them out, but i really hope they go into it. I know i cant force them to, but they have sheets over the cages and everything , so they cant see any other lights. Not sure what i should do here. As for those who dontknow why im brumating this time, im hoping they go into brumation for breeding purposes, and they did the same time last year. I don't want to put a damper on your plans, but I would hold off. If they aren't ready, you could do more harm than good. It sounds like you've done just about everything you could. The only other thing I can think of trying is to put them on the floor. That drop in a few deg. may do the trick. Otherwise, I would just try again in a month or two.
