first set-up see arrows for the 3 eggs that went bad

after switching to get them out of the substrate (which in my guess from everyone's comments might have been too wet)

You've got at 3 maybe 4 eggs that still appear to be going strong. Hang in there and good luck!

ya, and the window egg which looks like the worst one is the one that I actually think is doing the best.

Misty, I was just curious :
How do you check temps in the egg container ??
I know you said you checked with a temp gun, but if you put a thermometer probe in the container, off the medium, then you will always know the inside temp.
Maybe it just wasn't in the photo.

Do you use thermostat ????
If not, on what temp reading are you basing your hovobator settings on ??
If you are where do you put the probe??

I'm sure you have it all good since your temp gun was on, but your photos had me wondering

HI Misty...

Wipe off the mold on the moldy eggs and dust them with anti fungal powder every couple of days (athlete's foot powder). I would not give up on any of those.

Don't give up on those eggs. Wipe off the mold with a paper towel folded up to make a pointy corner. Then lightly dust the area that had mold on it and around the perimeter of the egg. I've hatched a couple of really ugly looking eggs using anti fungal foot powder. Nothing to lose by trying.
