Met a girl at Petco today...

Stormwave Aug 07, 2004 07:33 PM

Seems she was there researching leopard geckos, wasn't buying them there though, didn't trust Petco quite I don't think, I don't blame her personally.
Oh, and bearded dragons are so cute! They had a tiny one, but it was just adorable, lol. It stood peering into the gecko cage with one hand on the glass and then dashed back to its branch.
Petco sucks otherwise though. A normal ten gallon tank recommended for a tree frog. Now I don't know much about green tree frogs, but White's all seem to need a 20 gallon hex, am I wrong?
Thanks for listening to me babble.

Green tree frogs don't get near the size of White's. Size wise I don't see anything wrong with a 10 gallon, if the humidity is kept high enough.
Yes, bearded dragons are cute.
But I wouldn't get a leo from Petco, unless it was an adult with a very fat tail. I've seen some nasty leos from reptile wholesalers, and Petcos can't even choose their own suppliers, corporate does it for them. You should come to the petstore I work at and buy one of ours instead .

Yes, the idea of getting any animal at Petco is enough to make me barf. I just don't trust them.
The girl said she was actually buying them from somewhere taht specialized in them and was just there geting supplies/research.
