a month or two ago one of my female spiny leaf tails laid a pair of infertile eggs. i removed the first one to examine it, since im somewhat new to pietschmanni. however, the second one fell on a leaf, where it sat for a day. surprisingly, the next day it had disappeared. im wondering if one of the females by chance consumed the second one, seeing as it was soft and infertile and probably a good quick source for calcium. or, perhaps, would the male consume the infertile egg? any ideas anyone? its just kinda bothering me since im really hoping for fertile eggs, and i would hate to find out that my females have been laying viable eggs just to have someone else make a quick meal out of them. if this could be the case, anyone have any suggestions on how to fix the problem???
