Is $89.00 way to much to pay for captive bred leucs? I have found this wonderfull petstore that has many viv plants, dart frogs, wood and knowledgeable (sp?) employees, but the price seems alittle high for those. They breed their own frogs in the store tho...

Unless they are adults i'd say its too much... I saw lueks for $40 at the hamburg show (and will be purchasing some from him in a week) so i'd say if they aren't adults they're too expensive.

That seems fair considering what it costs to ship a single froglet (about 35$ in the US).

Further, there are several different breeds of leucs..some have thicker yellow bars, are more intensley spots, and some are orange or have an orange tinge to them. The more common leucs tend to have more black and less yellow on them.

That's about triple the average price. Leucs are going for 25-40. You could get two or three with shipping for just over 100.

But also remember that you are buying something that you can see firsthand. If you can't make it to any shows, this is a great way of seeing exactly what you are buying and making a decision if you like the look of the frog, especially the leucs.
