Was curious if it's healthy to travel with reptiles? A dog is usually always happy to get a ride in the car with you, but a reptile on the other hand..
I am looking at getting a 4 foot Tegu (extremely tame) and live about 1 1/2 hours away from the shop.
The 5 days a week I work I stay in one county, and usually on my two days off, I go back to my hometown (about an hour and a half drive).
My goal (with any reptile) is daily handling and interaction. If I'm gone two days a week every week that means I'd have to leave the Tegu alone. I'm sure it woudn't be a problem for only two days a week, but it'd be great if I could bring him with me back to my hometown for those two days.
What do you guys think? Is it safe (healthy) to travel with reptiles? Or will it stress them out too much?
