Well....it's a girl.

Found out last Monday that I will have a little girl next January.
Can't wait.
We found out in may that we were going to have a baby.

It's funny, how things like this come out of nowhere.
I'm probably not going to be able to do much with my chameleons for the foreseeable future, but I will not(as many of my friends here thought I would)be selling my animals.

I learned the lesson the hard way years ago, when I took a hiatus on chameleons for a few years during college. How I wish I kept that bloodline of Veilds going.

I'm not having a good time with my deremensis. I lost several within a few weeks due to a number of causes: egg binding, horrible eyeball swelling of a new import, and mysterious, fine one day, dead hanging from a tree the next. Also, my big male appears to be on a downward spiral. He was fine 2weeks ago, I did a fecal check, and found a few (VERY few) pinworm eggs, so I gave him and all my others some fenbendazol. He hasn't eaten since. VERY strange.

On the good side, I have ~50 veild eggs from two females, sired by my REALLY nice and big male.

On the Ironic side, they're going to be hatching around the same time my wife is giving birth. That should be fun.

I know, in the near future, I want to expand my hobby. Now, is not the time.

Just figured I'd post the good news to the chameleon forum.
I'll pop in from tiem to time(especially when I have 40-50 baby veilds hehe).

Take care.

Congratulations on your baby girl, and on your veiled eggs. Are any of them from the female you bought from me at the Raleigh show? I'll be in Raleigh again this time too. I've presently got over 275 baby chams. I hope to see you there again.
