hatchling from first clutch of year. There's alittle orange that appears to be developing on the lower back. Could mean it's a male.

from a 2nd clutch that only had one hatchling, but a cool looking one!

They have the same scales as other collared lizards. When I copy the pictures from hi resolution to a low resolution for the internet, it makes the scales look funny and not as crisp as the original pictures.

although juvenile female C. dickersonae will often have their own orange pigmentation, developing shortly after the first shed. In females, the orange pigments tend to be lighter in color, and are generally confined to spots along the crest of the dorsal between the posterior collar and the hind legs. I have observed additional orange coloration on the front limbs of both sexes in juvies of this species...

What can I say, the male is awesome, the female I love her, they are very unique in color with the golden colored tails, very pretty girl.

The kids, kind of struck me funny as to how much they look like C. Vestigium hatchlings. The face is almost idenical to Chippewa's face, including color!

Your second guy with all the orange does look very COOL .

Nice pics AGAIN, been a heck of a last few days , seeing all your pics, I have enjoyed them immensely!
