Thanks to my wife, who sneeked into the snake room a few weeks ago, and snapped some pics, I was pleasently surprised to find that she had taken this one.

Damn shame,

Great looking animal. I'd do what you indicated earlier. Sanitize everything. Particularly if fecal matter had the opportunity to violate the integrity of your other animals' habitats.

Stay clean yourself as well. Sanitize after each handling. Venomous keepers (I am not one) are sticklers for protocol. We ALL should be. It's all about preservation in one fashion or another. Preservation of: Your life, the life of the collection... you get the picture.

Cleanse before and after handling... for the animal, the collection, and yourself.

In my profession, it's always been "one hand for the ship and one hand for yourself". Basically, use all the assets you have to protect what is near and dear... Recognizing all the while that there are different, but similar, motivations for the action taken. One is greater, one is selfish. Both are aiming to achieve the same goal. Equally vested perhaps.
