divided we stand, divided we fall. As a hotkeeper I feel many who don't keep venomous snakes or snakes in general, don't care what happens. Of course, not realizing that at some point it's going to effect them keeping their reptiles, when there is an all out ban. When you have knitwitts saying that reptiles are the reason for salmonella outbreaks you would think that we would support each other, not happening. Kinda sad. What's even sadder is going through the NYS petition that is going around and seeing the lack of help from people in the forums, there are plenty of names that you don't see on the petition. It's only a matter of time, then we all can post in the DO YOU REMEMBER WHEN FORUM.

Everybody is out for themselves to have the best looking and newest morph. Which is fine, it's to be expected. But the inability to round up more than a few hundred signatures on a petition to advance or at least maintain the herpetological society on a web site with millions of hits says it all. It's typical "Not My Problem" thinking. The problem is it becomes all our problems one state at a time. Look at the Revolutionary or Civil War. It may be a poor example but it was still two different thoughts that became one state by state. At least they put up a fight. Whatever happened to the "Don't Tread on Me" flag with the snake? That poor S.o.B is getting walked all over.
