Something a little different

Here's something you don't see to often on the boa forum... a manadarin phase Madagascar Tree Boa neonate produced by Jeff Hartwig. When I laid eyes on this snake I was imediately in love (snake on lay away) , I have never seen a baby mad with so much yellow. The photo is a bit overexposed , the light color you see on his back as actually flourscent yellow , in person this snake will blow your mind... surprisingly docile... and they don't get to big or heavy... very cool snakes. Stay tuned for morew pics later...

Enjoy
CE

BTW... way to go Jeff , this has to be one of the nicest mads ever produced!

Hey Charles. Welcome to the world of Sanzinia. Of course you'll have to get a mate sometime lol. I only got turned onto them during the past year and think they are a very trustworthy tree boa. I think they are way underpriced for how unique and rare they are in collections. The fact that they don't have enormous litters and are supposedly not easy to breed doesn't help their popularity I guess. Anyway, enjoy your new beauty!

with chondros for the last 2-3 years I wasn't sure if i could handle another tree chainsaw. I was really surprised at how mellow the babies are, at no point did ths snake (who is in shed) even attempt to bite or act aggressive. I think you are right, they are underated considering their simple housing and temp requirements, the "hard to breed" problem will probably be figured out in the near future. Jeff, who produced this one has gotten them to go the past two years even while not really being around to make sure temps are perfect.

It's so nice to see your "ce" here again. I've missed you. That is a beautiful little guy. Those are my favorite colors. I can't wait to see some of your photo magic on him.

Thanks to you, I have just added another snake to my wish list! That is such a gorgeous snake. I'm going to be looking at the site, too, now, and possibly making a purchase. At the very least, researching them to get care requirements. Thank you for sharing that pic.
