Tile as substrate

benzman1 Aug 08, 2004 09:01 PM

I went to lowes today and looked at tile for my leo. My question's are:

1) Does it matter if the finish is shiney or matt? (i.e. terra catta...sp? or finished)
2) I will use a Exterra UTH, what do I need to put between the UTH and the tile?
3) Does color matter?

As long as it has some texture to it so the leo doesnt sleep.

Honestly i don't know because i use a heat lamp.

>>3) Does color matter?

i suggest not to use tile as a substrate on your geckos, i suggest sand or even paper towel. i breed alot of geckos and they do great and eat like crazy. for my breeders i use paper towel and they breed for me all year long.

but thats wat i think. good luck wit ur geckos
